Each week, Qu3pid Notes asks it's female readers who are aspiring models and established models whom may can use some exposure to send in a picture with a short bio either via twitter or email and a panel of judges decides to pick a beauty of the week based on looks and personality. We then acknowledge them on our website for the entire week.
Our final decision is based on not only physical beauty but true inner beauty.
This week's Beauty of the week is: Yolanda Michelle, from New York. We caught up with her & here's what she had to say:
1. How long have you been modeling
-I've been modeling on & off for the past 2 years. I started off doing runway, which led to opportunities doing music videos.
2. How has the industry been treating you so far?
-The industry has been bittersweet. You gain friends & lose them...but the opportunities you have are endless!
3.What's some advice would you give to someone thats trying to mode?
-Advice for someone trying to model - Never settle. Don't just shoot with any photographer just because its free. Ultimately, your photos reflect who you are...you take shitty pictures, you get shitty results. In this industry, its important to invest in your career.
4. What qualities do you look for in a man?
-Qualities in a man...You gotta be at least 6'4". I'm 5'10" & 6'2" in heels...I love being able to reach up and grab my man around the neck :) I love attention & being spoiled by my man...you gotta be funny, honest, trustworthy, & dependable.
5. How does a guy catch your attention?
-A guy catches my attention by knowing what he wants & going after it.
6. What are some turn-ons for you?
-A turn on for me is passion...I'm a Scorpio so I'm naturally a passionate person...I love to show my affection towards my man and I love for him to do the same with me.
7. See that being a model you take a lot of sexy pictures at photo shoots do you get a lot of unwanted attention or does everyone on set keep it real professional about what's going on
-Unwanted attention is part of the business...you gotta learn to take the good with the bad. Every photographer I've worked with has been extremely professional. I love the attention I get either way; its to be expected :)
8. Let our readers know one fantasy of yours
-My fantasy...I'd love to do some wild shit somewhere that I can get caught...it just adds a touch of excitement when you know somebody might be looking & watching...might as well give them a show!
9. Who do you think is harder to understand men or women? And why?
-Women are harder to understand. We have our moments and expect our men to read our minds 24/7 but its damn near impossible...a man that attempts to try is good in my eyes. Lol.
10. So what's some past work have you done?
- I have been in several fashion shows, including America's Fashion Week in DC, & The Source Magazine Swimsuit competition. I have also been featured in several music videos by artists such as Kalibur, Raheem DaVaughn, Phil Ade & Phil da Future. Along with several web features, I was also named XXL's Mag Web Candy of the Week as well as 2 features in FBM IKandy and ONETEN Mag.
11. What's next for you?
-Next up, I hope to continue working with many DC artists & other artists in surrounding areas.
12. Tell our readers and even future fans how they can follow you or contact you?
-Make sure y'all follow me on twitter @VintageXBeautyX !
